Last year after a hard rain, mom told me she came home to find water collecting on garage floor. My dad was inside  watching television when she ran in telling him that there had to be some sort of huge problem, because since they’d built the house, she’d never seen that problem occur.

They went out into the garage, and sure enough there was water collecting on garage floor. They left the garage door open, backed the cars out into the rain and dad used the wet vac to clear up all the water. The following day dad made a few calls to see if he could find out what the problem was with the floor.  Someone suggested that if he hadn’t used a garage floor treatment, that he may want to consider it, otherwise the problem would persist.

He took their advice and ordered some from online. It took him several days to get the garage floor treatment applied, but once it dried, they haven’t had that problem since. He was almost certain that the builders had used a garage floor treatment when they built the house, but he said maybe after 20 years it was time to retreat it. At least the garage stays dry now, even in hurricanes.
