Garage Floor Protection May Mean Better Resale Value |

My husband's job requires us to move from town to town, state to state, and we have been passing through various houses. Some have garages. Some don't. We still own a home in Upstate New York, as well. We have a garage on our property, but it resembles more of a barn. The floor is a dirt patch that doesn't really need garage floor protection. What is my point in all of this? I wanted to find out if a home's value would improve if it had a garage, and would it increase the value if it had one with garage floor protection? After checking out a few articles online, I have discovered that a home with a garage is worth more than one without. A garage can add up to ten thousand dollars to the property value. The one thing I found out is that a clean garage is a huge draw for the buyer. We all store our stuff in our garages, but if we keep them organized, it grabs people's attention. I would have to say that having garage floor protection would add that extra perk to a nicely kept garage and some extra value to the home.
