garage floor protection, garage floor treatmentI don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but here in Maryland it has been raining rather a lot recently. In fact it is raining outside as I write this, and wet weather is rather typical in spring around here. The rain has got me thinking about the damage floods can do to homes, particularly garages and basements. I was also thinking about how insurance companies do not like to pay up when a home is flooded. What do people without garage floor protection do in a situation like that? You see without garage floor protection the concrete can easily be ruined in the event of a flood. If the insurance company doesn’t pay up (and many don’t) it could cost thousands of dollars to have the concrete garage floor replaced. Given the fact that most of us don’t have much spare cash right now I would hate to be faced with that situation. Fortunately we have always had garage floor protection and it saved the concrete back in 2006 during a flash flood. Garage floor treatments can be reasonable price wise if you take the time to search for a good quality product online and I know this because we have since replaced ours. One thing is for sure, garage floor protection is much cheaper than new concrete.
