garage floor treatment, garage floor protection   Garage Floor Treatment

Recently, my husband and I had noticed a crack in our newly-laid garage floor. We had added the garage onto our house a few months back in order to accommodate my husband’s addiction to collecting vehicles and put garage floor protection sealer on at this time.

Over time, the crack became larger, more prominent and decided to bring more cracks to the party. Once those friends joined the party, our garage floor started to look more like an atlas map instead of an area we park our cars on. We had to do something.

My husband spoke to a friend of ours and found out about garage floor treatments. In case you didn’t know, a garage floor treatment is mostly an oil based paint, which is applied to the floor of a garage. The garage floor treatment repels water, which is sometimes one of the main factors in cracking. The treatment also inhibits the growth of mildew and one may also use additives, such as rubber in order to enhance traction on the garage floor.

Once we had applied a couple coats, as well as added some sand and rubber pieces to the mixture, our garage floor looked strangely, brand new. All of the cracks were sealed in and our floor was so pristine looking; I could have sworn I heard angels singing. Even after a few more months, our garage floor still looked fantastic.
