garage floor treatment, garage floor mat

I watch a lot of HGTV and one of the things they reiterate on all the home selling shows is, if your garage floor is stained, cracked, etc, to give it a garage floor treatment.  Sometimes, they use garage floor mats, while other times, they use paint of some sort.  I've often thought about doing that for our garage, even though the floor looks fine.  It would be nice to give it a garage floor treatment of some sort.  I'm not sure what I'd do exactly though because we deal with snow and slush in winter, so the mats might not be a good idea. 

I do know I need to research this though, see what the various options are for garage floor treatments are and go from there.  I do like what I've seen on those shows, and the resale benefits are great, which is why I am thinking about giving our garage floor a treatment of some sort.  Regardless of what I chose, it will have to be able to hold up to the various changes in weather, as well as our cars.  Which is why I'm leaning more towards a paint, or epoxy treatment over the floor mats.
