Before we embark on any garage remodeling we want to take care of any moisture in the area. If you have water collecting on garage floor concrete, the first thing to do is to check the source of the moisture. Most of the time water collecting on garage floor concrete points to a leak in the ceiling and if this is the case then we have other things to worry about. However, if you have water collecting on garage floor due to condensation there are some things we can do. To test whether you have a moisture problem or not is rather simple. Place a rubber mat on the garage floor and make sure you tape down the edges. After a day or two has passed, lift the mat and see if you have any water collecting on garage floor under the mat. If there is water there then you have a moisture problem. You will need to apply a sealer that is designed to solve this type of issue. Once that step is completed, you will be able to continue with your garage floor protection plan. Whatever solution you come up with to looking after your concrete floor, make sure you have read all the instructions or consulted with professional at the hardware store. You just want to avoid any costly errors.
