I need a good garage floor treatment. |

Earlier today I spent time cleaning my garage/woodworking shop and among my cleaning tasks was sweeping and vacuuming the garage floor mat I have set in front of each machine. As you can imagine each garage floor mat is like a magnet for collecting all the dust and wood chips I generate when I am building something. this cleaning got me to thinking about how nice it would be to try a new type of garage floor treatment to ease this time consuming task. When I pup my woodworking shop together I installed a dust collection system that is connected to each piece of equipment and I also installed an industrial ceiling mounted dust collector for the very fine dust but even with these running I always end up with a small amount of dust and wood chips on the floor. I am thinking one of the new garage floor treatments such as the inter-locking two foot by two foot "tiles" might be a great way to help with my cleaning of the shop. They not only come in many different styles and finishes, they also can be laid over a cushioned matting so standing on them is comfortable. This is important for me as I spend many hours on my feet when working in the shop.
