If you have a car that is leaking oil or other fluids, you should consider some kind of garage floor treatments that will keep the oil from penetrating into the concrete. It takes a lot of hard work to get those stains out of the concrete, and when you use a garage containment floor mat, you can simply wipe the drips off with old rags or other waste paper. Some people like to have their garage floors really clean, so by using a floor garage mat, you keep your floor looking good.
Some homeowners are more particular than others, and if you are renting the home, you could lose your deposit if you have too many stains on the concrete. Your landlord will not be happy about having to clean up the stain, if it's possible at all, because oil stains that sit for any length of time on concrete are much harder to get out. Sometimes wear and tear in a house just happens, but by using garage floor protection, it's 100% preventable. They are also fairly inexpensive, so at first sight of those oil drips, get a pan or a mat, and take care of the problem right away. |
