garage floor protectionMy wife and I have begun a long overdue project, the cleaning and organizing of our garage.  Some of you may remember the old radio show called Fibber McGee and Molly.  If you don’t, well there was a running joke about Fibber McGee’s closet.  Every time someone would open it, all kinds of stuff would fall out.  I have Fibber McGee’s garage and so the time has come to make it a nice place to be.

I have just recently heard about BLT G-Floor garage floor protection and I want to get my garage to a place where I could install a garage floor mat of some type.  After looking at the different garage floor treatments available, I find myself looking more at the BLT G-Floor as it seems the most cost effective and easiest to install.

I also carry out some scientific experiments in the garage and so the idea of garage floor protection appeals to me even more.  I do a lot of experimentation with colloidal suspensions using high voltage in various applications.  The proper garage floor protection would help to keep more of a clean room environment in the area I have my equipment set up and would take care of those little occasional spills.

So why do I think the BLT G-Floor garage floor protections would work the best for me?  There are several reasons that I will elucidate below.  First, I considered painting the floor, but that takes time to dry, you generally need a few coats and it also will chip or peel with age.

There are also garage floor treatments that you can assemble like a puzzle.  The issue there, it seems to me, is that you have more cracks in the covering for spills to enter and stain the garage floor.

The Better Life Technology site says “BLT G-Floor is 100% high quality polyvinyl throughout the entire product.  Most other garage floor treatments only use high quality materials on the top 10%–20% of their product and laminate with lower-grade material that does not offer the same protection throughout. Some products even have three layers of filler using some of the poorest quality filling available.”

Better Life Technology was founded by Brett Sneed of Kansas City.  He wanted to find a better way to not only protect the garage floor, but to keep the outside where it belongs, outside.  After working for 6 months, he came up with the idea that became G-Floor.  It shows what can happen with the right idea.
