You have a number of choices when it comes to garage floor protection.  You can paint the floor with a latex or oil based paint, but unfortunately, the paint tends to rub off over time and take some time to dry and cure.
There are also the interlocking floor mats that are like assembling a jigsaw puzzle on your garage floor.  They do protect your floor, but they have seams at the joins for all of the tiles and those seams allow spills and moisture to seep through to the concrete.

A company called Better Life Technology, LLC has developed rollable PVC flooring called G-Floor and this could be the answer you are looking for.  It is solid PVC plastic and comes in rolls so it can be installed easily on your garage floor after preparing and cleaning the floor.  It is removable so you can take it outside and hose it off if you like, or you can do it in place.

The handy thing about PVC is that is naturally resists snow, salts, mud, oil, battery acid, any number of different compounds that can stain or mar your garage floor or, worse yet, be tracked into the house on your shoes just after your wife has cleaned the carpets.  That’s rather bad form and can lead to a few nights on the couch or worse.  It also can be configured to channel liquids right off the surface.
You could install G-Floor yourself or hire professionals to do the job if you don’t have the time or the ability.  G-Floor is the best value in garage floor protection that you can find on the market and the product works so well, they have developed many other applications for use in vehicles, especially trucks of all sizes.  One gentleman even did his basement bathroom using the G-Floor.  Now there’s an original idea.
