Water Collecting on Garage Floor Can Make a Mess |

Unknown to me, I have had a little water leak in the garage for quite some time, it appears. The water heater is out there, and I was moving a box and the bottom fell out. Yikes! I traced the leak to the hot water heater, and I can honestly say that water collecting on garage floor can sure make a mess. There are rust stains from a few nails that were lying on the floor, not to mention the damaged contents of the box. I suspect that I will have to figure out how to get a garage containment floor mat under the hot water heater just in case it happens again. I had a plumber come out and fix the leak right away, but think that I need to look at some kind of garage floor protection. The water at my house is very hard, and there are white streaks from the salts in the water and the rust from the nails. I'm not terribly critical about things, but do want to get rid of the stains. |
